Does this put Kennedy ahead of Dion on the first ballot estimate or is it just very very close?

Peter -- it will be very close. Since most of the remaining meetings are in BC (16), Ontario (9) and Manitoba (3) -- and just 5 in Quebec -- it's probable that Kennedy will remain ahead of Dion by a nose. I expect Dryden and Rae will edge up a bit, and Ignatieff down a bit.

I am suprised at how badly Brison did. His blue message in the bluest province would presumably have been worth more than this, especially with the support of several Clark-era PCPC organizers.

I'm not surprised Brison did so poorly in the "bluest" province. Remember, in Alberta it's "hip" to be a tory, so moderates join that party instead, leaving only Left leaning (Kennedy) supporters to vote Liberal

If only Gerard Kennedy had people here in Québec!!! No one here, I mean, generally in the streets, has heard of him, except me... I come to Democratic Space because I care. The average voter, unfortunately, does not...
