Cute! – but the “see my secretary” bit is a serious mistake on the part of whoever wrote that script.

I’m massively in favour of MMP (alas, also Albertan)… but I still had to stop and take stock intellectually to reassure myself that no, there’s no hidden financial price tags they’re trying to downplay here. That line suggests it so strongly to me that I can’t imagine I’m the only one.

“This is covered under your usual plan” or something would have conveyed similar humour without that problematic oops.

I agree with the previous comment, and would add that the line everything will take care of itself after that is also problematic.

As important as PR is, it won’t solve every problem by itself. I don’t think advocates of any institutional change should make this claim. People see right through it, and end up becoming sceptical of your valid claims.
