Good points. I'm concerned with Obama's support among the white middle/working-classes in America. He seems to do alright among many other categories of voters but he can't seem to relate to the working class of America. His presumed "eletist" status does not help him either. Can anyone say Obama/Edwards ticket?

I'd say equate all Republicans as the PNAC party. Republicans have been trying unsuccessfully to date, to wage a new Holy War that would bolster the fortunes of both Neoconservatives and Al-Qaeda (at the expense of the quality-of-living of everyone else on this planet).
America is stuck in a two party system while we have 5. In reality, the Democratic Party is mildly split among Hillary's poor and union base and Obama's educated culturally-liberal base. Call me idealistic, but I don't recognize the gender or race split for the simple reason that were C.Rice to be running as the Republican nominee under a hard Neoconservative platform, no African-American or Woman would be representing their "base" well by electing such a backwards party into power. About the worse that can be said about Obama is the poor aren't voting for him in primaries. About Hillary's base, they suck too much capital towards sunset industries.

Contrast that with an element of the Republican Party, the PNAC, in power now, that wants to send society back to the Middle Ages. The USA should split the Republican Party into two elements and likewise for the Democratic Party. Oh well, crappy two party system instead of 4 or 5. So the PNAC Republicans, acting over the last 8 years as if they are prophets, drag down the whole Republican Party forever. Which is sad because someday many centuries from now maybe America will become too Socialist and really need the economic conservatives in office.
