This was in no means a landslide win for the Liberals last time out. Depending on who seeks the P.C nomination I think we could be in for a close race yet again.

This was a close one last time, with a PC Cabinet Minister going down by 3000 votes. This one is by no means a lock for McGuinty’s Liberals.

It’s typically a bellweather riding, going to the overall winner, so keep an eye on this one.

Lib- 34.0
Gpo- 29.0
Pcp- 26.0
Ndp- 10.0
Oth- 1.0

Not often far off, and never wrong 19 times out of 20.

I’m working on the Karan Mann-Bowers campaign. The least I can say is that I don’t know where this one is heading. The prospects of a not-so-strong PC candidate mean they’ll bleed votes to the Liberals, and NDP. The Greens have been picking up votes from the Liberals and NDP. Meanwhile the NDP has been picking up votes in general on account of the strength of our candidate.

I’m not going to really challenge the prediction, because I don’t have any basis on which to do so. However, who comes second will mean a lot in this riding, and this one’s going to be a nail biter for sure.

I would like to say that for a government wanting bigger turn outs for elections, they are not making it convenient for the voter! I had a voting station in my apartment building, yet I could not vote at this location, and had to be directed to another voting station. If the referendum vote was not included in todays election I would not have voted. Its time for governments to catch up with technology and make voting more convenient.
