The PC candidate here is Monte McNaughton

I attended the Mt. Brydges debate and only Maria Van Bommel(Lib) and Brad Harness (Reform)provided informed responses in an articulate way. However, of the two only Maria represents the views of rural LKM and myself - our family vote goes to Maria! The other candidates either had extreme views or were not very well prepared.

I wouldn’t expect anything less from a liberal candidate Jeff.
I hear you are running federally again. Hopefully I will make the candidates meeting and maybe we will get another chance to talk about how the Paul Martin Liberals highjacked parliament.
I enjoyed it in Bothwell last time.

Bill - if you noticed I included my name so I am not hiding from that. My liberal candidacy aside anyone and I mean anyone taking a fair look at that debate would come to the same conclusion that I did. Whether you like to hear it or not it was my first time seeing Monte at a debate and I was disappointed by his inability to answer a lot of the questions. I look forward to seeing you again…wherever we meet on the campiagn trail. I never shied away from the tough questions in Bothwell and never will….only this time Harper will have a lot to answer for and that I look forward to!

LKM will be close. Van Bommel one of the hardest working MPPs. Big riding to cover. Tory candidate knows his talking points faxed from HQ, but does he have a mind of his own?

My wife asked me the same thing. Where does MONTE stand. We know where the party stands.
I like Maria, but we need to stop the tax and spend policies of liberals.

Comment/commentaire by Bill McMaster 10.02.07 @ 8:50 pm

In Bothwell we have a battle going with dictatorial Chatham Kent. Maria made herself inaccessable to us and to people from near the edge of the riding

“tax & spend policies of Libs”? They balanced the budget and invested more in health, education and ag. Tories cut $80M from ag budget in just their last year in office. Libs spending more on sewers and roads, $11M extra just for CK. CK should apply again to help Bothwell residents.

We are considered a “clean water” community. So there is no help available.

Yes, tax and spend.
The largest tax increase in Ontarios history. After lying of course, which is the liberal way.
Health tax, after lying of course which is the liberal way.

Gay marriage after whipping the members. Now Euthanasia. Boy oh boy, liberal values.

Comment/commentaire by Bill McMaster 10.08.07 @ 9:29 pm

Show me the balanced budget. All I see are increased taxes, and a larger budget. Lying Liberals.
