Frank Klees will be running in this riding. It is a soft Tory riding, which is why Belinda took it federally as both a Liberal and as a Conservative. Newmarket and Aurora both went slightly Liberal in the last election, and the now high profile candidate and the tarnished Liberal brand will mean Mr Klees will win this riding with a majority of the votes.

This riding will come down to whether McGuinty is popular or not in one year. The jury is still out. Klees will be the favourite, but he is from the old Harris days. If McGuinty continues to govern well, the Libs will have a chance.

Frank Klees will easily take Newmarket-Aurora as he is probably the best MPP at Queen’s Park and he has been moved around before without ir hurting him that much

Frank Klees seems like a decent enough guy. But even if I wasn’t supporting the Greens, Tory and the PC’s would have just lost my vote with the religious school funding fiasco.

Christina Bisanz Liberal candidate for Newmarket/Aurora ” is a breath of fresh air” a truly caring person. We need to continue our growth that the Liberals have created with our school and health systems. Not to throw it back to the Harris days of strikes which, don’t forget, Frank Klees was part of.

The mastermind behind the funding of private religious schools will lose in this riding. Frank Klees is a tired fossil from the Harris-Eves era. N-A will send Klees a message on E-Day: we don’t need your tired party to ruin our schools and hospitals again!

Could be the upset of the election, the architect of the faith based funding going down to defeat. It would make some sense i suppose and isnt impossible. Its quite obvious that the majority, in some surveys very strong majority(ie 2/3 or more) are against his initiative. I give Frank Klees the advantage but this one will be alot closer than people think.
Another thing, Klees is not the incumbent to any part of this riding, more than 1/3 is from the Liberal stronghold in Vaughan of Greg Sorbara and the NDP/Green are really weak here. Hopefully alot of NDP/Green people will strategically vote Liberal to prevent Frank Klees from winning as their candidates have no chance.

What a difference a month makes! Sure have learned a lot about Frank in the past month, not a bit of it encouraging. And he is the brain trust behind the faith-based funding fiasco as well?

I met Frank for the first time this morning at the Aurora farmers market, where the Green Team was out meeting people and talking about sustainability and the hundred mile diet. Frank came in his 4×4 SUV.

Nope. I can’t see a lot of Green voters “voting strategically” (a misnomer if I’ve ever heard one) on this one. We’re way past voting for something we don’t like to get rid of something we hate.

And since both the Liberals and Conservatives are committed to wasting $40B of our money on a nonsense nuclear future, we’ll happily register our votes where they belong. Thanks anyway.

Mr. Klees is a fossil who is behind the faith based school. He must remeber what happened to George Wallace of Alabama when he declared his famous declaration of “SEGREGATION FOR EVER”

Frank!!! get a grip and catch up with the reality. you and Tory are finished.

The mastermind behind the funding of private religious schools is a little strong it assume Klees has a brain. As a tory, I would be happy to see this phoney christian go down in flames. It is his ilk that are destorying the PC party, along with the President Blair McCreadie and John Tory not bright enough to see it. OH well, a wipe-out of party will clean these cretins out
