Joyce Rowlands, daughter of former Toronto Mayor June Rowlands, has been nominated as the provincial Liberal candidate in Toronto-Danforth.

Hold for Tabuns and the Dippers. Solid NDP territory, Layton’s home turf, noproblems here.

The right choice would be Joyce Rowlands. She can be a voice for this important area at Queen’s Park and she is actually a resident of the riding. Tabuns and Layton don’t even live in the riding, so I don’t see the connection of “home turf”. Also the area hasn’t been that strong of an NDP hold. Dennis Mills held the riding for many years and only lost to Jack by 2,000 votes, same goes for Ben Chin in the last by-election. Lost by about the same amount. Joyce only needs to take 6% of the vote back to win this riding.

Please note this comment is in a series of comments by me. I’m doing a prediction for every riding. For this riding I’m predicting the NDP will win.
