Even in a Tory tidal wave, Emerson deserves re-election. He was by far the best MP this provice has seen on the gov’t benches for a long time, bringing in tonnes of federal investment to BC. To punish him and put in worn-out suit Waddell would be a waste (there are many great NDP candidates in other ridings and a few Tories i like too, but Emerson is actually leadership-potential). But with the electorate in a punishing mood, we should all be a little worried at what we get (remember the previous BC election/gov’t?)

I didn’t get a good first impression of Emerson at an all-candidates meeting last week. He tried calling out the Conservatives on switching positions on the head tax issue when his own party made a big mess of things and decided to flip-flop just a few days before. I’m a Conservative supporter, and Waddell’s my second choice. Both of them are a step above Emerson when it comes to integrity. As far as I’m concerned, Emerson is like all the other Liberals when it comes to something as basic as telling the truth.

I think the riding has a much better chance comming out NDP than Conservative. This had been one of BCNDP’s strong ridings (not including the BCLiberal invasion). I think liberal will win but NDP good luck.

Emerson is arrogant. Vote Conservative. Teach the libs a good lesson.

Liberal win

I will vote NDP, though I think the Liberal will win and the Conservatives will form a minority government. What the heck, it is a little more money for the NDP coffers for the next time.

Don’t be so sure about that, Alex. Waddell’s the frontrunner in my opinion, and it’s definitely a tight race.

A extremely close race. This will be a lot closer than initially predicted. I have respect for Emerson, but Liberal fortunes are falling from their previous heights in BC. This riding depends on how many people decide to punish the Liberals - 1000 and Waddell takes it. (Assuming the slight swing from Liberal to NDP that looks certain.)

Well he crossed the floor now.
