While I think the riding will go Liberal, the predicted swing is pretty excessive.

You should check your data. The polling in BC shows the Conservatives running even or better compared to their performance last time. The Liberals are now running even or worse than last time. The chart you have suggests you have input an incorrect base and applied a swing from last time incorrectly. This riding may be close (like last time) if the province wide result is similar to last time, but the notion that it will be a blowout for the Liberals seems off.

this riding is to sophisticated and wealthy to stay with the right wing-nuts. No one thought John Renolds could loose last time. After seeing how close the liberals came in 2004, many more residents are going to give their votes to the liberal candidate. These people are embarassed to be represented by a facist like Renolds, and Harper.

To close to call, but I think it’s leaning liberal. however the momentum trend indicates Conservative. We’ll see. a week is a long time. remember the Con’s jumped 6% nationally in about a week, so in a riding…
leaning conservative… very slightly

We could be lucky to have, one day, PM from our ridding, only if Bair wins this time.

Comment/commentaire by Zygmunt Riddle 01.17.06 @ 1:33 am

Too wealthy and sophisticated to vote conservative? Since when is marijuana, weak gun laws, screwed up Medicare, fear mongering, corruption and likely a bigamist state sophisticated?

Comment/commentaire by Robert 01.17.06 @ 4:55 pm

i like the ndp candidate here although im green and with a strong liberal candidate running im sure they’ll narrowly place first well lets hope anyways.

Send Blair to Ottawa. Maybe that way we will eventually have a decent PM. He would make a good one.

TCTC Lib-CPC

I’m not sure who I’m voting for yet. The one thing I am certain of is that I do not want the consrvatives to win. If this riding is close, I’ll throw my support behind the liberals, if not, I’m going green or NDP.

Looks like John Weston has the momentum going into Monday. Any thoughts?

Comment/commentaire by Anthony 01.20.06 @ 12:56 pm

I’ve been watching this riding and the momentum is definitely with Weston while the Liberals are in decline. The “scandal? what scandal?” Libs don’t have a prayer here.

There is an article on prime time crime about Blair Wilson. Interesting

Comment/commentaire by Taylor 01.20.06 @ 4:43 pm

With the most recent poll tracking looks like this prediction should be changed to a CPC win.

Comment/commentaire by Eric 01.21.06 @ 6:46 pm

Conservative Win. Final Answer.

Comment/commentaire by Nick Boragina 01.21.06 @ 6:51 pm

It was closer than I thought last time with John Reynolds. I still think it will go Conservative in a tight race. No matter how strong the Liberal is, he has the weight of his party affiliation around his neck.

Comment/commentaire by K Dog 01.22.06 @ 2:46 pm

The riding went for sleazy John Reynolds last time.
Now that Reynolds is not running, it seems logical that the riding will go for religious nut John Weston, one of many religious nuts running for the Conservatives.

Comment/commentaire by norman 01.23.06 @ 2:26 am

Vote for Blair! signs now all over the riding. What happened to the “Paul Martin’s Liberals, Elect Blair Wilson election signs? Seems he’s distanced himself from the fearless leader.
Smart move. So should we. Vote Conservative to kick the Fiberal gravy train back into the station.

Comment/commentaire by Ren 01.23.06 @ 9:33 am

Wilson has this riding locked up.

Comment/commentaire by Leo 01.23.06 @ 1:21 pm

What a pleasant surprise. The people of West Vancouver rejected the religious nut candidate and his religious nut leader by voting for
Blair Wilson. Maybe sleazy John Reynolds had already seen the writing on the wall when he chose not to run.

Comment/commentaire by norman 01.23.06 @ 11:25 pm

Nice win, however Blair is serious personal glue and and it’s clear with Dion, that any Liberals toss in after the damage Blair Wilson caused, they are toast

Comment/commentaire by Dale 10.16.07 @ 2:31 am

First of all, anyone who calls the Hon. John Reynolds, former Speaker of the House for the British Columbia Legislature, former leader of the Federal Opposition and a person who has abley represented over one million constituents over a 30 year career in public service, a “facist”, is clearly misguided. How does any fair minded individual respond to that?

The only response, my friend, is for folks to have a good look at how you actually support (Blair Wilson/ John Moonen and the Federal Liberals) and judge/vote accordingly. It is because of people like you, that I cannot vote for your party.
