Liberal win. one of the “grittiest” ridings in the province

Reg Alcock is a ignorant liberal. He really thinks his S#%* doesn’t stink, and I am really fed up with him and the liberals in general. I am not saying how I am voting, but vote for anyone BUT the liberals and Reg Alcock. Reg Alcock will say and do anything to win…..like his racist bashing against a chinese MP , or breaking promises or lying to constituants that ” there was never a EI surplus, we never stole from it to balance the budget, while cutting benefits.” I beg the people of Winnipeg South….anyone but this idiot. If the people of Winnipeg South truly care about there future they will vote out REG and put their vote with one of the other parties.

Reg was a Bully in High School and he is a bully in Ottawa. You know it is great to see that the bully is finialy going to get what he deserves.

I lived in this riding when big Reg first got elected. I was sick to my stomach then and I have watched as he has done nothing for Manitoba except fill his fat face. So c’mon Winnipeg give your head a shake and finally send Reggy packing! What has Ottawa done for you lately? The fat lady is singing and she is calling for you Reg.

We voters in Winnipeg South deserve a much better MP than Reg Alcock, not to mention that Canada deserves a better government than we have recently had. How can Winnipeg South voters not elect someone who respect them, respects the riding, and respects Canadian taxpayers. Reg’s feable excuses over the Adscam affair as president of the Treasury Board show his tolerance for sleaze and corruption is way to high. He doesn’t want to clean it up. We the voters need to do it be cleaning the “House”.

I live in the riding. I dislike Alcock. So much so, that in spite of the fact I have always voted NDP or Green, I’m voting Tory just this once as a protest.

That being said, I think you’re all on crack. I’m afriad that all these bold, confident predictions of Alcock’s demise are wishful thinking.

going against the tide of the cmments in this room , I for one ( living ) in the riding think that Reg Alcock has done a fabulous job for Manitoba and For Canada …. I say second choice vote here for the Liberals is a GOOD thing..and an important one , considering that most don’t want a Harper govt Vote for Reg !!!

I’ll take Harper anyday over a guy that said adscam was ” a good thing, because now we can clean up government ” . I too live in the riding and will vote stratigically to oust this double big mac eatting crook !

I will be voting for the conservatives this time, instead of the liberals. My husband and I voted for duguid last time, but I am not happy with the liberals child care program. They totally insulted us , as I am a stay at home mom, who works part time and my mother, who also lives in the riding and is voting for Joy this time, looks after the kids when I am busy. The liberals think day care is the best place for children and I completly disagree. We pay alot to the taxman every year and I know we don’t get our monies worth so its time to let someone else have a shot. I am still waiting for Paul Martin to get rid of the GST like they promised as well, at least Harper wil cut it. We are waiting to buy a new car because we will save several hundred dollars if the GST is cut.

I’m afraid that Reg leaves a lot to be desired. Contrary to his silly pronouncements and silly blabbering, he has really done nothing for this part of the city…but he sure is a great mud slinger. We deserve someone much more honest and less arrogant. Reg forgets that he is a public servant, living off our tax money. He’s been at the public trough much too long. Democracy needs fresh air and a cleansing once in a while. Reg should know that and give up his seat and get a real job, instead of acting as tho he is in Ottawa by some ‘divine right’. At this point…anyone but Alcock.

I find it hard to believe that people here are ” slinging mud” … at Reg Alcock… You may be angry at teh ” scandal ” of those few Quebec Liberals who have caused great harm , and have or will soon be punished….but be careful that you are not punishing yourselves ( i.e. Winnipeg ) by denigrating a strong effective voice in Ottawa for Winnipeg , and Indeed all of Manitoba
Reg has smarts, vision , experience and a lot of knowledge of the issues at hand ….and he is solution oriented.. as opposed to dillying dallying on idle chat

I’d like to see Alcock get defeated this time around. It seems to me that he’s the poster boy for Liberal arrogance. Bruinooge seems like a smart young man. Hopefully this riding will make the right choice!

It almost seems as ‘piling on’ when most of the comments are so negative towards Mr. Alcock…but then again, all these people can’t be wrong. The truth is that Mr. Alcock is incredibly arrogant and his time should be up. He’s been at the public trough so long that he has totally lost sight as to who REALLY employs him and keeps him living in a lifestyle to which he has gotten so comfortable. We desperately need fresh people with fresh ideas…that’s the best thing for a democracy. Besides, Mr. Alcock will do nothing for us being in opposition. The only people pulling for Mr. Alcock are those who have something personal at stake or something to gain if he is re-elected. The majority of constituents owe Mr. Alcock nada. Our constituency simply needs new blood with new ideas.

I’m sure dear Reg remembers me, I’m the man who went to the trouble of putting up signs in my front yard during his reign of lies when he ran in Fort Garry. Yes Reg I’m the guy who came and talked to you about the problems occurring with the E.I fund and managment. I’m also the man you promised to meet with in your constituancy office to discuss the issue, (you sir made that promise in front of my son). We agreed to this meeting in place of discussing it at a politically social bar-b-que at Cresent Drive. You sir broke your word to me and lied right in front of my son. In my mind you are a coward and have no honor. In a more honerable day I’m sure a man like you would have been challanged to pick u8p a sword and step outside, and with your integrity you never would have had the guts for it. I came to you with a situation and trusted you. You returned that trust by lying to me and disgracing canadian politics in front of my son, how much more dammage have you and the other liberals done to canadian youth. You are not in my riding any longer, but It is my hope that the people of Winnipeg South will pay you back in kind for your LIES AND DISSHONOR.

Reg – Like all Liberals will say anything to get re-elected. He will take credit for anything good (Kenaston Underpass – too bad it’s 10 years overdue) He will deny/spin anything that is bad(ADSCAM – “No it wasn’t us, we’re just here to fix everything”) Reg is Bully – don’t send him back to Ottawa.

Lets get the useless MP outta here once and for all. After his fearless Leader’s disgusting desperation tactics this week, I feel like puking at the thought of these guys winning again. Please, Wpg South, do us a favor and toss this guy out once and for all! The whole country will thank you!

Earlier, I stated that all those who thought Reg would lose were on crack. I humbly (and happily) stand corrected.

Thankyou Winnipeg South for enforcing early retirement on Reg Alcock. But don’t worry about Reg… we should all have a pension that will be as lucrative as his. But the new and fresh ideas of Mr. B will a wonderful breath of fesh air. This fellow is young, energetic, well-spoken and genuinely an honest chap( what a change!) and I’m certain we all wish him the best of luck.

Rod Bruinooge is genuinely an honest chap? Is this the same Rod Bruinooge that funded half his failed businesses with drug money? And have you looked into any of his old shady businesses? Some intrepid reporter over in Manitoba will no doubt see past the shiny distractions soon: Bruinooge is crookeder than Alcock could ever hope to be (but Alcock definitely tried I agree!) Mark the date and time here: if Bruinooge and his ego get even close to any kind of real power, he’ll suck the Conservative party down into bigger scandals than we’ve seen before, and that’s a shame, because it would be nice to have some actually-honest Conservatives in power. But unless they can keep their wacko members hidden on the back benches, they’re in trouble of collapsing within their first year. I have my fingers crossed for this government, but I’d feel better if they got rid of the crooks before they out-scandal the Libs!
