Good luck to Arthur Bull in this election. Here’s hopping that a good chunk of that undecided vote will swing your way and make this an interesting three way race on election night.

The drastic drop in Liberal support in the last week has made this riding an almost sure gain for the Tories. The only real hope the Liberals have is for a dramatic turnaround in Liberal support as the campaign draws to a close. The only other, but less likely senario, would be for a very large chunk of Liberal support shifting to the N.D.P.,if Liberal support continues to crash, along with most of the undecided vote also comming to the N.D.P..Only time will tell.

This riding has been a swing riding. Robert thibault has done a good job,but with the conservatives showing the lead in the polls this riding could go to them where it is such a swing riding. The polling is showing the riding will go conservative

It’s pretty clear in the polls that the NDP supporters are going to the Liberal to prevent another PC candidate. I think thats crap. Paul tricked u guys in the last election and we ended up with 19 seats. One of the reason i support the NDPs is cauz they’re going to use a new, presumably PR voting system. i say its about time, cauz the current system’s obviously screwed up.

There will be four Maritime seats going to the Conservatives on election night. This one, Kings Hants, Fredericton and Miramichi.

Go Greg!
Go C!

TCTC Lets see how far the tory blue wave extends.

I do think that talking about the beliefs of the candidates is very relevant. There is a conservatives candidate, Jason Kenney, who has called Nelson Mandela a terrorist; Most Conservative candidates belief that human rights should be decided by voters instead of our courts; and in our national media, the Conservative Party always talks about the special interest groups (minority populations) that keep the Liberals in power as if the religious groups that work on Conservative campaigns were not the same thing.

Comment/commentaire by Marcel 01.18.06 @ 8:03 am

Think about it. If you think the Conservatives are “evil extremists”, think from where this idea has been generated. It came from the Liberals since 2004. Do Canadians really believe the Liberal party pronouncments today? Some do but the Liberal party is suffering from a creditibility defecit.
I give Canadians credit. And I believe on January 23 a fair judgement will be made.
I believe in Canadians regardless of their political stripe.

I just read marcel comments to Jon.I find these
comments very dis tasteful but Iwould suspect
that Marcel attended the Liberal school in how to
be rude and harsh if someone got another opinion.
My advice to Marcel is vote for a real party so you can have some quality to your life

Well Marcel, I’m not going to vote for the unprogressive conservatives, but if you’re going to attack them, at least get your facts straight. Conservative candidate Rob Anders called Nelson Mandela a terrorist, not Jason Kenney.

Lots of Conservative candidates are going to say lots of offensive things this election, and once they’re in power. But Canadians are going to vote in at least a Conservative minority, because they are tired of the Liberal corruption.

Many Canadians are social conservatives. Personally, I see gay marriage as a question of equal rights and keeping the government out of the bedrooms of the nation. But when I meet someone who doesn’t, we can discuss the issue without calling each other bigots or communists. You’re not going to change people’s minds by calling them names.

People are turned off by politics in growing numbers. I think it’s because the most active people are too partisan. I like the conservative plan to help stay at home moms stay at home, and I like the NDP environment policy, their belief that public money needs to stop going towards private healthcare clinics, and the legislation they passed this past year on worker rights when their employer goes bust. I think the Kelowna agreement the Liberals passed will help native communities across the nation.

We can disagree on how to get there, but all parties can work together to make Canada an even greater country.

As to this poll – Liberals over Tories is my guess, but I could change my mind Monday night.

Heh, first off, this is NOT the Marcel from above. Let’s get that out of the way. Kinda hard to read through all the comments that seem directed at me, yet I hadn’t even commented ;)

In any case, it saddens me to see that the debate in the rural areas still generally seems to be between “liberal” and “conservative”. Left and Right. White and Black. There’s no middle ground.

People should not only be looking at the Party policies, but at the people themselves. People aren’t even considering Arthur Bull the person, they are just looking at the NDP: “That’s not liberal or conservative, I can’t vote for that!”

Look at Arthur Bull, here’s a man that has dedicated his life to helping others in rural regions, who worked for 12+ years for the inshore fishermen of the area, who basically does nothing but try to make the region better. All he wants is to help the lives of all the people in the West Nova district… and all he gets are people debating Liberal or Conservative. How sad is that? The one man that wants to help the most is the man that everyone ignores. Yes, I know him personally, and it breaks my heart to see him work so hard for such little reward. Sad…

Conservative Win. Final Answer.

Comment/commentaire by Nick Boragina 01.21.06 @ 5:20 pm

Robert Thibeau has delivered for the riding. However he was a Chretien man and sat at the cabinet table.Does anyone really believe that he and Paul martin didn’t know.At best they were wilfully blind if not culpable.Robert and the Liberal Party have to be given the opportunity to learn that Canadians do want ethics in Government. The riding needs a member on the government side.It is one of those where the people take an interest and reward the party that has earned their vote or the taking away of that vote.Conservative win which will be predictive of the outcome for the country a Conservative majority.Klutz

Comment/commentaire by Cliff 01.22.06 @ 4:38 pm

Nick, you sound like you’re on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire.” I guess you’re hoping to be one of the few who benefit from Conservative rule.

Comment/commentaire by AM 01.23.06 @ 12:28 am

Robert T is probably one of the most knowledgeable MP in NS….and I’m not anywhere near that riding…I’m not a Franophone….. what a disservice to the area to boot him out. I think the people are smarter then that,

Comment/commentaire by Hector 01.23.06 @ 1:26 pm

Conservatives are gonna turn our Canada into the states. Think straight for god sakes. Vote NDP!!

Comment/commentaire by Anonymous from Clare 01.23.06 @ 2:15 pm

Thibault bought the voters in this riding – no wonder NS is 20 years behind the rest of Canada. Novies are so easily bought off. The CPC is in charge – so stop whining and get used to it. Too bad people here weren’t smart enough to join the winning team. Fools.
