This will be an easy win for the Liberals. Tony Clement had name recognition for the Conservatives last time but Gosal does not. If it starts to look close as the election approaches, I am sure a lot of soft NDP support will go to the Liberals and they will keep the seat as we have seen in many ridings before.

Bal Gosal will win this one by over 2000 votes. Peel village will get out this year and he do well in the S.Asian community. Colleen Beaumier couldn’t even get one of her next door neighbours to take her sign on Main St. Bill Davis plus others are fully behind Gosal and Harper this time. It will be blue on Jan 23.

Colleen have lot of support in ethinic community and she is well known as a voice for human rights. I think it is really hard to push her out, she have very solid support.

I recently drove around the riding and I would like to change my prediction – Gosal will win by over 3500 votes. Our liberal doesn’t seem to care whether she wins. A friend of mine, a time old PET liberal, confirmed this and most long time Main St. type liberal are taking a pass on this one.

I bet Tony Clement wishes he stuck around to try to take this one. Gossal might win and Clement might lose up in cottage country.

I’m a resident here, it seems to me that there’s ground support for Gosal. However, from what I understand the NDP campaign has been receiving warm receptions in the ethnic communities. Perhaps Shergill will siphon off ethnic voters from both Beaumier and Gosal. Tory national support will likely put Gosal on the same level of support as Clement had in the last go. Whether he has enough support to push over and win, I don’t know.

Hopefully Bal will be able to pull this one out. You know that study from week 5 or 6 of the campaign that discussed that the reason you don’t see a lot of Liberal signs is because they’re embarassed to be voting that way. Well Liberal signs went way up this weekend. Hopefully the polls are right and voters don’t chicken out on their way to the polling station!
