David has been a great representative of ottawa south and it would not be fair if he suffered as a result of the corruption of those who were in power long before David’s career. in my opinion he has represented our riding very well and i hope he continues to do so whether in opposition or as a member of the ruling party.

Good Luck Allan!! THis will be the sweetest win for the Conservatives on Election Day!

Must be tough for McGuinty going door to door. I mean really, what can he say? Something like: Well, yeah, my brother lied and dear leader lied, but trust me!

David McGuinty definitally is a better man and a better politician than his brother… he shouldn’t get the blame for Dalton’s wrongdoings.

Also, Alan Cutler is absolutely despicable. It’s oportunists like him who twist media coverage to leverage a way into politics that help to ruin our system.

that’s right, he lost his job as a whisteblower and he’s an opportunist. How opportunistic of him. We need MORE Alan Cutler and LESS Mcguintys

I can’t believe the support for Cutler isn’t better than it is. Come Ottawa South give him a “resounding” win. The liberals are tearing this country apart, a day at a time. Have a look at http://www.smalldeadanimals.com and scroll down to the picture of the beach and read the comments under Conservative Life and then have a look at the video just to know where your tax dollars also went. Be sure to read the comments. I wish this ad would be on all this weekend. If there is some way please help to get it out there. Send it to Allan Cutler and let him have a look. I am not in Ontario but it is my “home”

Allan Cutler has no place leading this riding. He has been placed in this riding after his ‘opponent’ was paid off after winning the nomination fair and square. Good way to prove they are different from the fiberals. This is still the Conservative Party – remember Mulroney.

Allan Cutler is the answer to Liberal corruption. He proved it by being a whistle blower and losing his job and he will prove it again by winning Ottawa South and properly representing us in the house. He will also make a great cabinet minister.
Let’s all look forward to this change…

It’s hard to see what, if anything, Allan Cutler could do for the riding – he doesn’t even live there. David McGuinty’s done a fine job in s ahort period of time and deserves to be re-elected regardless of what anyone thinks of the Liberal Party.

Why vote for Cutler? As a candidate of the Ottawa-South riding, he is obligated to represent the views of his consituents.

Litte difficult to do if he dosen’t live in the riding!!

Comment/commentaire by Alex 01.20.06 @ 8:46 am

Who to vote for? Hmm, on the one hand, we have someone who has (at great personal risk) helped to expose to public view some of the slimiest shenanigans ever undertaken in Canadian politics, while on the other hand we have someone who’s brother is a confirmed liar and who’s party leader is a confirmed liar. Decisions, decisions… I think I’ll be chilling some beer and popping some corn on Monday evening.

Despite polling numbers I think this will stay Liberal. This riding is filled with civil servants and most don’t vote for right-wing parties because of the conservative attack on “big government”

While this race will be close, McGuinty will win this riding on election day. The McGuinty family has one of the biggest and best political ground organizations in the country, David has been a tremendous asset to his riding as an MP, and a respected Parliamentarian with his work on the Environment Committee.

In recent news McGuinty has nailed down the Citizen endorsement, a rare feet for a Liberal in Ottawa, and it was about as glowing as it gets.

Expect McGuinty to win this riding on election night.

Comment/commentaire by Graydon 01.21.06 @ 3:29 pm

Graydon’s right. The McGuinty’s have a great team who won’t be out-worked on E Day. They really know how to hustle out the vote. He’ll win but it will be close.

Can’t say I’m looking forward to doing this all over in eighteen months (average life of a minority government in Canada). Yuk.

Interesting that Mr. McGuinty was the only candidate who refused to give an answer on questions regarding human rights. No wonder! He is following a leader who praised China’s human rights record a year ago when one of its former Prime Ministers died 16 years under house arrest because he had opposed the martial law and Tiananmen massacre in Beijing.

Comment/commentaire by H 01.23.06 @ 12:43 pm

I think we should give the NDP a chance. I have not been impressed with David McGuinty and Allan Cutler refuses to endorse the commitment to raise foreign aid to 0.7%.
Do you really think you will get real change with the Conservatives? It’s time to give the NDP a chance!!
