The Conservatives out there, throw your vote in with the NDP. It’s the only way to stop another Liberal.

Greens: Bruce Hyer is greener than the Greens, and the only hope to unseat the Liberals in Thunder Bay-Superior North

Joe Comuzzi would help the Conservatives roll back the clock on minority rights and does not reflect the values of young Canadians. Send a message to the promise-breaking Liberals and help the NDP sweep Northern Ontario.

Jack Layton is going to visit Thunder Bay Sat night for about one hour at the Airport about. 7 pm. Call the NDP Riding offices for more details!

Ooh we have an NDP party in this comment field! Well, sorry folks I vote with my conscience. The Greens are the only party for me. Bruce can be as Green as he likes, as long as his opinion doesn’t oppose union interests. Other Green supporting NDP have been ousted by Jack Layton, such as Rick Smith, for opposing the seal hunt. Yeah NDP = Green, I don’t think so. I don’t know who told the NDP that the Greens are stealing their vote anyway. It is a small proportion of Green voters that previously voted NDP. They should consider lobbying the 40% of non voters, or better still, convince Liberal voters why they should vote for you. Or is that too much a challenge?

Stephen Mitchell is the husband of Dawn Kanagiesser. Dawn is a very fine person, but as the Sierra Club of Canada has accurately said, Bruce Hyer has a well known record of environmental action and commitment going back many decades, and ” He would make a fine green Member of Parliament.”

Yes Stephen Mitchell is the proud husband of Dawn Kannegiesser. It isn’t a question of whether the Sierra Club thinks Bruce will be a ‘green’ candidate. It is a question of whether Jack Layton will allow Bruce to be an environmentalist, given Mr. Layton’s record in that regard.

I will reiterate the point I made in the CJ on the weekend. Again, being an advocate for the environment is not the exclusive purview of the few who are involved in environmental causes, but it is the responsibility of everyone to make small changes in their lives that contribute to the well being of our community. Voters need someone they can relate to, in terms of environmental action, not someone who will preach down at them about their affiliations.

When the country is crying for change, we here in Northwestern Ontario, continue to flounder. Why, when everyone knew an election would follow shortly after the last one, did not the Conservative and NDP parties seek more creditable candidiates, so that we could turf out those two do nothing members that we have. They were useless in government, imagine how useless they coud be in opposition.

Hi Everyone.
I was reading comments on another site, and remembered this site.
The only hope for the north is the NDP. If we want to save ourselves from the terror of the conservatives. And yes, I say terror, and it is in no way an over statement. Actually, it is more of n understatement. Stephen Harper is in the back pocket of George Bush, and if you want terror, the Bush is it. He is easily the worst president in the history of the U.S. Bush has managed to destroy the american environmental movement. Bush’s management of Harper is as amazingly idiotic as the Avro Arrow. I’m going to rap this up, and finnish with saying that the NDP can always use donation’s, and if you care about Canada’s future, then the NDP is the only choice.
